I live!

Not that anyone on here really knows or cares but, whatever. I feel better for having said it.

My inspiration has been...weird...lately. I have lots of ideas but I can't seem to write. I've gotten some character profiles out for Planet Wreckers (which I subsequently lost) and wrote up profiles for a couple characters in Land of the Giants (which are useless because, you know, it's a television show) but that's it. I've also been flipping out about life in general (the whole; I'm never going to amount to anything, I live in my parents' house, what if I can't get a job, research is being a bitch, etc.). I'll write myself into optimism later.

That's it for now...

Adios.

Huh. It's been a little while, hasn't it?

It's funny...I've actually been getting back into the blood ties fandom. I haven't had a chance to rewatch more than the previews but 'Wanderings of a Lost Key' is starting to poke at the back of my mind. If I continue it (and I do have a few potential chapters all written, crappy though they are), I'll have to do it as a different story though. I was satisfied with the way the 'one-shot' ended.

I have a few other 'AU' ideas to pitch in the same fandom but both are massive and one takes place in an even bigger AU that I've made up but never written out.

SO....yeah.

Underworld has also been a hit recently (it's probably what re-introduced me to Blood Ties) because I can't go see the third movie. >_< I'm moaning about the lack of movie theaters around here. By the time I get back in the vicinity, it'll be out of theaters so I'll have to catch it on DVD.

Writer's Block: Challenges I’ve Faced

What challenges in life have you conquered and emerged from a better person?
Hrmph.

Any challenge worth mentioning has caused as much damage, physical or mental, as personal progress.

And, yes, I am aware that is a very pessimistic view but experience does not lie.

Meh, I know the natural response: do not dwell on the past, use what you have gained to increase the quality of the future.

maybe I'll try that when I'm in a better mood.

Who (or what) is your favorite fictional robot?

Writer's Block: Listening In

Even if you're not actively eavesdropping, you can hear some interesting things. What's the best conversation you've ever overheard?
Best or worst?

I've heard a lot of things that I don't like; either because they're about me, because they're about my friends, or because they prove that someone has been holding something important away from me.

I can't actually recall any that I enjoyed listening to.

Writer's Block: So Long, Farewell

It's the last day in office for George Bush. There's been a lot of talk in the media lately about Bush's legacy. What do you think he will be most remembered for?
Forcing us into this disaster of a war. Although destroying the economy and alienating the entire WORLD run a close second and third.

Writer's Block: Clothing Options

When it comes to clothes, would you rather be comfortable or fashionable?
Comfortable, hands down.

Plus, wearing comfortable clothes rather than fashionable (a) tends to make people underestimate you and (b) lets you sleep easier in class. ;)

Besides, it's not like most people here wear anything other than a sweatshirt and jeans or sweatpants. Some never even change out of their pajamas. So I guess, if I'm going by the 'majority wears it = fashionable' rule instead of the snotty, stuck up magazines rule, comfortable = fashionable here.

Gah...today was horrible.

I went to bed last night (this morning) at about 2:30am, having waiting until I was too dog-tired to stay awake any longer because I didn't want my cold to keep me up.

It didn't but I woke up at 6:30/7am with a splitting migraine and trouble breathing from a plugged nose.

No more sleep for me.

The pain went away an hour or so after I took some acetomorphine (commonly known as tylenol XP) but the damage was done: I spent three hours reading until my roommate woke up and I could make more noise.

That pretty much set the tone for the day.

I STILL don't know what caused the headache so I'm mildly worried that it will happen again.

And, on top of my health, the plumbing is all backed up in the communal bathroom. All ten of us are being forced to use the one bathroom...downstairs. Eleven girls and only one bathroom? It's going to get very ugly very soon if the help doesn't fix it.

Here's hoping tomorrow will be better.
