Title: Howling at the Moon
Link: HatM
Author: Marozi aka darkling59 (ffnet)
Fandom: Bleach
Rating: PG-13
Disclaimer: Bleach (and all associated characters, settings, concepts, etc) does not belong to me.
Summary: Coyote Starrk: Primera Espada, Aspect of Loneliness/solitude, and vastly under-appreciated character. This is a short story collection devoted to the lone wolf himself, with cameos from lots of other characters. Not currently accepting prompts.
Notes/Explanation: This is the index of all prompts filled in my story 'Howling at the Moon', which is archived at I originally had this in the first chapter, but it was scaring away readers so I removed it.
Contest: Ten of the prompts (winter - mist) were taken from an obscure song. If you're the first (or only) person to guess the name of the song and the artist, you get a prize!

Writing Meme: Test

Experimental Writing Meme (Theme: AU): Testing! Testing!

Concept: So apparently there's this thing called a writing meme that made the rounds of livejournal several years ago. The basic purpose seems to be to break writers' blocks and drum up creative energy through collaboration and conversation...meaning, an author sets the meme, other people make fic suggestions around a specific theme, and the author answers the suggestions with short ficlets and drabbles. It sounds awesome.

So...I'm going to give it a shot. I know I've missed the bandwagon, but sounds fun, and it could help me pull up the inspiration I need to finish my current fics. Since I've never been great with livejournal (honestly, I've spent barely any time on here at all, except when updating my 'Howling at the Moon' main post), I'm taking it slow and doing a trial run before I open any meme to outside suggestions. WIsh me luck!

The theme for this meme is AU and I'll be picking the prompts using a random number generator.

Writing meme is CLOSED.

(...wish me luck!)

My opinion on Ulquiorra
fuzzy, fizzgig, tantrum
I do NOT like Ulquiorra. These are the reasons why. You are warned.Collapse )

Author's  Note 1: Not many people expressed interest, but here it is for those of you that did! The new material is in normal text, everything else is smaller and italicized.

I live!

Also, I have finally recovered my old screen name and password. (I will pretend that is the only reason I have not updated.) Also, I have finished some fanfics but they are all on ffnet or unpublished. If you're interested, go check out my profile there.

Writer's Block: Unplugged
mysterious, eyes
For how much money would you be willing to spend a whole week away from the Internet, TV, and mobile phones? Would you suffer withdrawal pains?

That would depend on what else was happening in my life. If I had a family emergency or a life changing interview going on, you couldn't pay me a million dollars to leave behind my only means of communication. However, if it was, say, the middle of summer or if had only moderately important things going on, then I'd gladly do so for $50 + .

Actually, I think I'd be relieved rather than suffer pains (other than worrying if being out of touch while something bad was happening). In fact, I've been forced to be without internet and tv twice recently, for three and four days. The first time drove me nuts because I was two days away from finals but the most recent time was awesome because I actually got a chance to de-stress.

Writer's Block: Stay Fashionable in Winter Weather
mysterious, eyes
When it’s cold, wet, or snowy, how do you stay fashionable?

I don't. I put on fuzzy socks and a warm, oversized sweatshirt, then make myself a mug of hot chocolate and curl up next to the heater or fireplace. If neither of those is going, then I curl up in bed.

If, for whatever reason, I can't do that, then the thought of it carries me through the day (which is generally spent wet despite umbrellas and jackets).

Writer's Block: Captain Planet
mysterious, eyes
If everyone had their own small planet to live on and care for (like in The Little Prince), what would your planet be like?

Empty. ~_^ I would've left a long time ago, to find somewhere more interesting and less claustrophobic to live.

we-eeell... turns out, it was a Bad Thing. I did horribly on the midterm. Did better on the final but that was 45% of the grade while the MT was 50%.

I didn't fail the class but I didn't do as well as I'd hoped, either.

But!...Now it's over so whatever. I only have one class this time and I did fairly well on the midterm. Instead, I have my personal life to worry about!

Ah, well. Gimme a few minutes and I'll try to do the fanfiction thing again. Or maybe I'll actually do the fiction thing this time...I really need to get started on that short story collection. For some reason I'm having a really hard time starting. I know the universe backwards and forward, and there are plenty of niches to create characters from, but I just can't seem to write it down.

Maybe I'm afraid I won't do it justice? Dunno.

Here goes:

I am going frickin' STIR CRAZY.

Two college courses to complete during the same five week period. I had one midterm last week that I nearly flipped out over and the midterm I have tomorrow just seems...I don't know. I don't feel prepared enough even though I've studied for six or seven hours. I did tons of practice problems but they all seem too EASY. That could either be very good or really bad.

Oh, and I'm homeless for the first week of September because my current housing lease expires but my next one doesn't start until the middle of the month.

*shakes head* but that's not important right now. There are about three more immediate matters to attend to and they've all claimed back seat to the midterm.

ANYway, I'm hoping writing will help get my mind back in the game. I'm so spaced that I can't absorb my notes.

Recent possibilities: Doctor Who, Slayers (anime)
Challenge: 20 minutes fic
Choice method: random number generator (
Categories: 3

Results: 2, 1, 3 (but was originally 2)

heh, this'll be an interesting 20 minutes...

Doctor Who/slayers crossover with my favorite characters (Doctor, Donna, & Zelgadis) as enemies
4:37Collapse )

eh...21 minutes. I don't think much of the story but at least I'm more awake now. And I"ll need to try that selection method more often. That was fun!
